CBC: Chemical Warfare
by Ruby
CBC: Chemical Warfare adds war chemicals that are loaded into CBC fluid shells and fired at enemies, giving players several poisons and fire-based weapons.
What it does
Each chemical is loaded into a fluid shell from the Create Big Cannons side of the build and then shot at a target. Carbon Monoxide is among the easiest poisons to obtain, and it drains health slowly while blinding the target. Chlorine Gas is a stronger version of vanilla poison: it drains health quickly, causes nausea, and can be fatal if left untreated. Hydrogen Cyanide is the most severe of the set, draining a quarter of the player's health and slowing movement, though it cannot kill on its own and leaves the target at low health.
Ammonium Acetate does no damage but causes nausea and hunger over a long effect, and it is most useful for wearing down a target that needs to heal quickly. Ammonium Nitrate Fuel soaks a player in a flammable liquid that keeps them burning until it runs out, and it combines well with Napalm. Mustard Gas deals slower damage than other poisons but doubles the damage of a hit, and it splits its effect across the target's health. The mod's chemicals are craftable in survival and work against players with or without armor.
Installation requires Create, Create Big Cannons and Create: Diesel Generators. The mod is for Forge 1.20.1 only and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. It is released under a custom license and is not open source.
Key features
Poison chemicals
Carbon Monoxide, Chlorine Gas and Hydrogen Cyanide each apply a different poison with its own pace and strength.
Fire chemicals
Ammonium Nitrate Fuel sets a target alight with a flammable liquid that keeps burning until it is used up.
Mustard Gas
Deals slower damage than other poisons, but a single hit does double damage, with the effect split over time.
Survival recipes
The added chemicals are craftable in survival, so they do not require creative mode or commands.
