Cat Variant Eggs gives cats a spawn egg for each of their eleven variants, where vanilla Minecraft offers only one.

What it does

Vanilla Minecraft includes a single cat spawn egg even though cats come in 11 variants, and Cat Variant Eggs adds an egg for every variant. Spawn Egg BYID Redirect is required, because it redirects the egg IDs so each variant resolves correctly, and Fabric API is required on Fabric. Wolf Variant Eggs is an optional companion. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and Quilt across 15 release versions, 1.18 – 1.20.6, and the environment is client and server, so the server and every player need the mod.

Key features

  1. Spawn egg per cat variant

    Each of the eleven cat variants gets its own spawn egg, so a specific cat can be summoned without taming.

  2. Creative tab placement

    The variant eggs are listed in the Cat Spawn Egg entry of the creative inventory, close to the vanilla egg.

  3. Simpler variant spawning

    Eggs for each variant remove the need to spawn a cat and change its type by hand.
