ClientStorage is a client-side Fabric and Quilt mod that lets players search and manage items across nearby containers from the inventory screen.
What it does
The mod brings an AE2 and Refined Storage style workflow to vanilla containers. A built-in search box filters items by name, tags and modded items, and a crafting search interface shows what can be made from what is in reach. Players can inspect chests within proximity, mark containers with a wanted item so they glow, and pick up items from nearby storage without manual transfers. Search can also be run by command, through the csearch command, instead of the GUI.
The inventory layout can be saved as presets and rearranged, and the interface supports resource packs with GUI textures made out of creative textures. Because it runs on the client, a server does not need to install it, and it works with anticheats in the same way without interference from a server-side check. The mod detects the server type and adjusts the packet delays needed to keep the interface responsive.
ClientStorage is published for Fabric and Quilt across 7 release versions, 1.19 – 1.20.4, and the latest file for both loaders is 2.3.0 for 1.20.4, released on 2024-04-09. The code is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, so it is open source, and source code and an issue tracker are public.
