BuildCraft Core
by AlexIIL
With BuildCraft Core installed, the shared library that the other BuildCraft modules depend on is available, including its common crafting components, area markers and the Wrench item.
What it does
BuildCraft Core is the base module of the BuildCraft project. It holds code and items that the other BuildCraft submodules use in common, such as crafting component items, area marker blocks and the Wrench, which other mods often support as well. In the single-JAR release, the Core module is included in the main jar by default, while the multi-JAR release provides it as a separate core/library submodule.
Five other BuildCraft modules name it as a requirement: BuildCraft Builders, BuildCraft Compat, BuildCraft Energy, BuildCraft Factory and BuildCraft Transport, along with others in the list. The mod is published for Forge and ModLoader, with files covering b1.5_01 – 1.12.2 across 14 release versions. The latest Forge file is 8.0.0 for 1.12.2, released 2025-04-02, and the latest ModLoader file is 3.1.4 for 1.2.3, released 2023-02-01.
Installation is needed on the client and the server, since the environment is client and server. The license is a custom license, so BuildCraft Core is not open source. Snapshot builds are published, and the source code and issue tracker have public links.
