Borukva Inventory Backup
by Fiv_
Borukva Inventory Backup is a Fabric server mod that saves player inventories at set intervals and restores them on request, with records kept in H2 or MySQL.
What it does
The mod saves a copy of each player's inventory, including armor and off-hand items, together with experience level and Ender chest contents. Copies are written at specific time intervals and also at moments such as player death, server login and server logout, so a lost inventory has a recent copy to return to. An operator opens a menu through a command to view a saved inventory and restore it to the player.
The backup data goes into a database the server chooses in the config file. H2 stores records in local files inside the server folder and needs no outside service, while MySQL can be used where a separate database is already in place. The database works independently of the mod's other features. A permissions system such as LuckPerms controls who may use the restore command.
The mod requires Scalable Cat's Force. It is server-side only, so players join without installing anything. Files target 1.21 – 1.21.10 with 9 release versions, and 0.3.0+1.21.10 for 1.21.10 is the latest Fabric file. The code is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.
Key features
Scheduled inventory copies
Inventories are saved at configured time intervals, so backups exist without manual action by an operator.
Event-based backups
Extra copies are taken on death, server login and server logout, covering the moments most likely to lose items.
Menu-based restoration
A command opens a menu where a saved inventory can be viewed and restored to the player.
Database choice
The config folder lets the server pick H2 for local file storage or MySQL for an external database.
