Borukva Food
Borukva Food adds new crops, foods and cooking tools to Minecraft, with ingredients such as chili peppers, leafy greens, grains and bulbs for dishes like salads, soups and sushi.
What it does
Players grow a set of new crops that each feed into recipes: a juicy versatile ingredient for salads, sauces and sandwiches, a leafy vegetable used in soups, stews and slaws, and a staple grain that can be roasted, popped, ground into flour or used in pilaf and sushi. Chili peppers add a spicy element to dishes, while a cool, hydrating vegetable suits salads and pickles and a pungent bulb adds depth of flavor to many recipes.
Cooking tools and additional foods complete the set, so a player can move from harvesting ingredients to preparing full meals. The mod is server-side only, which means players join a server running it without installing anything, and only the server needs the Fabric files. It is published for Fabric alone, across 10 release versions 1.21 – 1.21.11, under the Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike 4.0 license, and it is not open source, although its source code is publicly available.
Key features
New crops
Several new crops are planted and harvested in the world, each yielding ingredients for specific dishes.
Ingredients for dishes
Salad greens, sauce vegetables, grains and spices are kept distinct, so recipes depend on which crop a player chose to grow.
Cooking tools
Additional tools support preparing meals, extending the food chain beyond harvesting.
Foods across cuisines
Dishes such as sushi, pilaf, soups, slaws and sandwiches draw on the new ingredients.

Use cases
Server food progression
Server owners add a farming and cooking layer, so players trade and combine crops for meals.
Who it’s for: Server owners and players who want a farming and cooking layer on a Fabric server. Because only the server needs the mod, players on vanilla clients can still join.
How it compares
Food Plus is a Fabric mod for 1.21 – 1.21.11 that runs on the client and server, and it is released under the MIT License. Blocks and Resources is released under the MIT License too, but it covers 1.21 – 1.21.1 and needs both sides. Borukva Fish is server-side only like this mod, yet it is limited to 1.21.6 – 1.21.8 and is not open source.
