Book Formatting

Book Formatting adds buttons to the book editing screen that insert formatting codes players cannot normally type.
What it does
The mod gives the book GUI buttons for formatting codes that the keyboard alone cannot produce, and a left Alt shortcut types the section sign. It also changes how a color code applies, so formatting is no longer reset at the start of each line in books. The mod runs on the client alone, and the server does not need it. Builds exist for Fabric across 15 release versions, 1.19.3 – 1.21.5, and the code is released under CC0 1.0 Universal.
Vanilla resets formatting at each line break, which the mod works around for books. The latest file, 1.0.0, targets 1.21.5 and was published on 2024-04-15, and its source code is public.
