Block Detective
Block Detective shows block, item and entity properties in tooltips and adds info pages to JEI, REI and EMI, and runs on the client alone.
What it does
Block Detective displays properties of blocks and items in their tooltips, covering both vanilla and modded content. Information pages for those entries can be read inside the recipe viewers Just Enough Items (JEI), Roughly Enough Items (REI) and Exhaustively Many Items (EMI), whichever of them is installed. Because the mod is Client-side only, servers run without it and players install it on their own game.
Magma Core is a required dependency and supplies the shared code the mod builds on, including an update checker. Many settings in the config file let each player adjust what appears and how. The mod is published for Forge and NeoForge, with NeoForge files for 1.21.10 (version 4.0.0), and its game versions cover 1.18 – 1.21.10. The code is not open source; it is released under All rights reserved, and the source code, issue tracker and wiki are linked publicly.
