Blinking Stars
by Migats21
Blinking Stars changes how the night sky looks, so the sky's points of light twinkle and vary in brightness instead of staying fixed.
What it does
Vanilla night skies are fully fixed, with every point of light at one brightness and color. Blinking Stars makes the points flicker, giving the sky a livelier look at night. The mod also adds a solar curse that a command can apply to a world, where mobs burn during the day. Its features are toggled through Mod Menu, and the curse is marked as an experimental feature. Either side can run it, and neither needs it. Files cover 1.20.2 – 1.21.3, and the latest is 2.0 for 1.21.3, published on 2024-11-21. The code is open source under the MIT License.

What the author says
Feeling like the vanilla stars look a bit boring? Why are they all completely static? Why don't they flicker? And why are they all the same brightness and color? That is what Blinking Stars does. Using the /curse command you can apply a solar curse to your world. When a solar curse occures mobs will not burn at day…
