Better Mod
Better Mod changes how hoppers, bookshelves and a few storage blocks move and hold items, and it works on Fabric and Quilt.
What it does
Better Mod adds a set of hopper variants alongside bookshelves that can hold paper-related items such as maps, books, enchanted books and empty maps. The Pull Hopper pulls items from the block above it in the same way a Bit Hopper does, while the Stick Hopper works like the Pull Hopper but keeps its item slot. A Screw Hopper moves items like a hopper without being able to suck items up, and a copper pipe carries items in the same manner. The Bit Hopper is a lighter variant that pulls items without picking up item entities, which suits hopper chains where pulling is needed and picking up is not.
Better Mod depends on Freeze Lib, which must be installed alongside it. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. The mod is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source. Files are published for Fabric and Quilt, and the latest builds are 3.2.0 for 26.3, published on 2026-09-18. A lighter hopper that pulls items only, so hopper chains can move items without collecting them from the ground.
Screw Hopper and copper pipe
Both move items like a hopper but cannot suck items up, which keeps them from taking items from containers above.
Sling Mechanism
An alternative bow with a Dispenser recipe built from 4 sticks and string, which simplifies crafting bows that cannot stack.
Resonant Sculk Sensor
Crafted from Echo Shards and a Calibrated Sculk Sensor, it doubles the range of the sensor it is based on.
