Better Forge Chat Reforged Reworked is a server-side Forge chat mod for 1.20.1 that formats chat with timestamps, colors, placeholders and hover text, and adds announcements and a word filter.
What it does
Server owners who want a tidier chat can set a full formatting pipeline in the config. Player names, timestamps and message formats are all configurable, and placeholders can be used in most places. Players with the right permissions can use HEX colors and gradients, while regular players get a smaller set of colors and styles. Markdown formatting can be switched on or off, and color and style codes are supported.
The mod also covers moderation and messaging. A word filter can replace or remove words and phrases, and chat is logged. An announcements engine sends text, command and title announcements. Players can click a message to reply quickly, with a configurable hover text and an optional sound notification. Permission controls decide which features each group can use.
Better Forge Chat Reforged Reworked runs only on the server, so players join without installing anything. It targets Forge for 1.20.1 alone. LuckPerms prefixes and suffixes and FTB Essentials nicknames can be integrated, but both are optional. The mod is published under All rights reserved and is not open source.
