Better Bricks
by qejmc
Better Bricks, a Fabric and Forge decoration mod, adds new brick types and a mortar material that builders can use in construction.
What it does
The mod extends the building palette with nine new brick types, each craftable in the world, and a mortar made from clay, sand and coal that is needed to craft several of the bricks. Its author describes the set as aimed at modern and contemporary building styles, a gap the author saw because few bricks in the game come in colors.
Because the content is limited to decoration, the mod suits survival builders and creative projects alike. The author lists more bricks in different colors, types and styles as planned and notes that the mod is still in development. Installation requires both Fabric and Forge loaders matching the file, and the environment is client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files cover game versions 1.12.2, 1.16.5, 1.18.2, 1.19.3, 1.20, 1.21 and 1.21.1, with 0.2.2 for 1.21.1 as the latest build, and the code is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only.

What the author says
The Better Bricks mod adds new brick types and recipes to your Minecraft world. While there are quite a few mods that simply add colored bricks to Minecraft, I have found very few that add bricks that are useful in building in modern and contemporary styles.
