Better Structure Loot
by ImLukett
Better Structure Loot changes which items appear in vanilla structure chests, so that loot matches the job each structure's villager or setting suggests.
What it does
The mod edits loot tables for structures in the game so that chests hold items more closely tied to their setting. A cartographer chest can hold a spyglass, a shepherd chest shears, a mason chest pottery sherds, a fisherman chest a fishing rod, and a fletcher chest bows and arrows. Weaponsmith and toolsmith chests receive swords, axes and pickaxes, while outpost and other structures gain items such as nether wart, glistering melon, fire charges, resin clumps, ominous bottles and nautilus shells. Wither skulls are placed as a very rare find.
The server must run the mod, while players may add it to the client without any extra effect. Builds are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, covering 1.19 – 1.21.11, and the latest file is V2+mod for 1.21.8, released on 2025-08-03. The mod was first published on 2025-06-29 and is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.

Who it’s for: Adventure players and server owners who want structure chests to contain items that fit their setting, rather than a generic mix.
