Beelightful changes what a bee sting does to the player, so each sting can inflict a different poison and heart loss depending on the world.
What it does
In vanilla Minecraft, a bee sting applies the same effect every time. Beelightful replaces that with a sting effect chosen from a set of outcomes, including shorter or longer poison, poison that removes only hearts already lost, a normal effect, and an allergic reaction that can be fatal. The mod's stated aim is to make bee stings more realistic, and the difficulty setting determines how many hearts a sting takes.
The effect is derived from the world's seed and UUID, so a given world produces the same sting outcome every time, and the effect only changes when a new save is started or a different account is used. The mod runs on the server alone, so players join without installing anything. It is released under the zlib License, is open source, and requires Quilted Fabric API (QFAPI) and Quilt Standard Libraries (QSL) on Quilt, with Mod Menu as an optional addition.
