Bears Update adds Grizzly Bear mobs, a Polar Bear armor set, and a claw-based bat tool for Forge on Minecraft 1.19.2.

What it does

Bears tough and strong, Grizzly Bears drop a new claw material that is used in crafting. Bears Update also adds a new armor set obtained from Polar Bears. Polar bear armor offers more protection and durability than leather, adding a layer of defense for travel, and players still get the snow-walking effect.

The new bat is made by crafting a wooden sword with an oak block and claws. The bat works as a weapon and a multi-tool at once; its slow swing rate fits the opening stages of a world. The bat can also be used to take honeycombs from beehives, though destroying a hive is part of the process. The mod adds two new meat sources from Polar and Grizzly Bears, which can be cooked.

Bears Update is published for Forge only, with a single build, 1.0.0 for 1.19.2, released on 2026-07-09. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. The code is under All rights reserved and is not open source.
