Auto-Run
by emonadeo
Holding V toggles hands-free walking in Auto-Run, a Fabric client mod that keeps the player moving forward until it is switched off.
What it does
Pressing V toggles automatic walking. If a direction is held when the toggle starts, the character moves along that direction instead of straight ahead. The sprint key can be used during auto-walking to sprint while the walk continues.
Auto-Run needs Fabric API on Fabric. Cloth Config API and Mod Menu are optional and add a settings screen when present. The mod runs on the client alone, so players install it and servers do not. It is published for Fabric across 48 release versions, 1.14 – 26.3, and the code is released under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, which makes it open source.
Key features
Toggle walking with V
One key press starts or stops automatic forward movement without holding any key.
Directional start
Holding a direction when the toggle begins sets the path the character follows while walking.
Sprint while auto-walking
The sprint key works during automatic walking, so the character can run without manual input.
Optional settings screen
With Cloth Config API and Mod Menu present, settings can be changed from a configuration screen.

Use cases
Long walks through open terrain
Players crossing plains, deserts or long tunnels can keep moving while attention goes to the surroundings.
Single-player and multiplayer play
Since only the client runs it, the mod works in single-player and on any server without server changes.
Who it’s for: Players who walk or sprint long distances in Minecraft and want the character to move without holding a key. The mod suits single-player worlds and multiplayer servers alike, since no server install is needed.

What the author says
When a new Minecraft update drops, most of the times this mod “just works”. For example autorun-mc1.21.2-v1.1.0.jar also works in 1.21.3 and 1.21.4. If you cannot find a compatible version it's worth trying out the latest version of Auto-Run. In the best case it just works. In the worst case Minecraft crashes when…
