AutoCommandX

by LilPeep

AutoCommandX lets a player bind up to four keys that each send a saved chat command or message the moment the key is pressed.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License1.21.9 – 1.21.10

What it does

Each of the four hotkeys is assigned in the controls options under Miscellaneous, and a command or chat text is typed once and stored against its key. After that, pressing the key sends the stored text to the chat as if it had been typed by hand. Common uses include quick teleports, server macros, emotes for role-playing and short team messages in PvP.

The mod runs only on the client. Players install it and servers do not need it, and it does not require admin permissions or any change to the server. It sends exactly what the player types, so it does not bypass server permissions or alter gameplay. Commands are set from in-game menus, so no configuration file editing is needed. Chat spam is avoided because nothing is repeated automatically.

The mod is published for Fabric only, on 1.21.9 and 1.21.10, with the 1.0.0 file for 1.21.10 as the latest release. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source. Fabric Loader 0.17.3 or newer is needed, and the mod works on vanilla and modded multiplayer servers alike.

Key features

  1. Four bindable hotkeys

Four separate keys can each be assigned a chat message or command, set under Options, Controls, Key Binds.

  2. Instant sending

Pressing a bound key sends the stored text to the chat immediately, with no typing needed during play.

  3. Commands and regular chat

Both slash commands and ordinary chat messages can be stored on any of the four keys.

  4. Silent operation

The hotkeys run without printing extra output or adding delay of their own to the chat.
