Hotkey Chat Messages
by vqke
Hotkey Chat Messages lets a player bind up to ten chat messages or commands to keys, so a line sent often takes one press.
What it does
Each of the ten presets can hold a chat message or a command, and a press on the matching numpad key from 1 to 9, or 0, sends it. The H key opens the in-game config screen where presets are edited, and the key bindings can be changed like any other control. Messages starting with a slash are sent as commands, so server commands such as home or tpa receiver work the same way as ordinary chat.
Presets can contain dynamic variables, which are replaced with real-time game data when the message is sent. Examples include the player's coordinates, the dimension, and health with maximum health, so a message can report where the player is or how the character is doing. The mod can be opened from Mod Menu and works with it as an integration, giving players a settings entry there. Hotkey Chat Messages is client-side only, so the server does not need it, and it requires Fabric API on Fabric. Files are published for Fabric alone, for 1.21.10 – 1.21.11, under the MIT License, which is not open source.
