Auto Optimization

by tgyki

With Auto Optimization installed on the client, the game watches frame rate and adjusts settings on its own once FPS falls below a set limit.

FabricClient-side onlyMIT License1.21.8 – 1.21.11

What it does

The mod monitors the frame rate continuously. Once frame rate falls below the limit configured on its general tab, where the default is 30, the mod wakes up and checks nearby chunks for typical sources of slowdown, including too many entities, piles of particles and costly block updates. The scan radius and detection cooldown can be changed, and the scan covers between 10 and 30 chunks around the player.

Once a cause is found, the mod applies real-time adjustments that reduce strain on the client, for example culling dropped items, reducing particles, or lowering the render distance of a chunk that is causing heavy load. After the frame rate recovers, the changed settings are restored automatically. Installation needs Mod Menu, and Fabric is the only loader with files, published for 1.21.8, 1.21.9 and 1.21.11.

Key features

  1. Automatic lag detection

Nearby chunks are scanned for entities, particles and block updates that may be slowing the client.

  2. Real-time adjustments

Dropped items, particles and distant render distance are reduced only while the frame rate is low.

  3. Automatic restoration

Once FPS recovers, the mod returns the affected settings to the values the player had before.

  4. Configurable scan

The FPS threshold, scan radius and detection cooldown can be set in the general tab without manual tweaking of video options.
