Armor Damage Indicator
by CaioFTNT
With Armor Damage Indicator, a player sees the durability of worn armor as a flat heads-up display, styled after tactical shooters.
What it does
The mod draws the current durability of each armor piece on the HUD, in a minimal flat layout inspired by tactical games such as Escape from Tarkov. Its position, size and opacity can be set in the configuration, and several color schemes are available, including green to yellow to red, green to red, white to red and transparent to red. Because it only changes how durability is shown, it has no effect on gameplay.
Only the client needs the mod, so players can install it on their own and join servers without it. It is built for Fabric and requires Fabric API. Files exist for Minecraft 1.21 – 1.21.11, with 1.0.0+1.21.11 for 1.21.11 as the latest build, first published on 2025-10-09 and last updated on 2026-01-06. The source code and issue tracker are public, and the mod is released under the MIT License as open source.

Use cases
Tracking armor in combat
A player fighting mobs or other players can watch armor durability continuously and decide when to swap or repair a piece.
Long exploration trips
During long trips away from a base, a glance at the indicator shows how much wear the armor has taken without stopping to check the inventory.
Who it’s for: Players who want armor condition visible at all times on the HUD, especially those who prefer a flat, tactical look. Players on Fabric with Fabric API installed can add it on their own, without any server-side change.
How it compares
Simple Armor HUD is client-side only, for Fabric 1.21.11, and is not open source under All rights reserved. Armor HUD++ is also client-side only and for Fabric 1.21.11, under All rights reserved, and is not open source. Armor HUD Numbers is client-side only for 1.21 – 1.21.10 and is open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, so it covers an older version range than this mod.
