Archer’s Plushies

by AirArcher

Archer's Plushies lets players place plushies of common mobs on the ground, then combine two of them into a stacked pair in which one plushie rides the other.

ForgeNeoForgeServer-side onlyAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 1.21.8

What it does

Base plushies are available for the skeleton, zombie, piglin, spider, chicken and strider. Each one can be placed as a decoration, and the mod pairs them into jockey plushies, such as a chicken carrying a zombie or a spider carrying a skeleton. To build one, place a base plushie, then right-click it while holding a rider plushie. Players who want to change the rider can unequip it with shears.

Variants of some plushies can be changed by holding shift and right-clicking the placed plushie. An axolotl plushie is exclusive to this mod for now, and the author plans to add frog plushies and others later. It runs on the server alone, so players need nothing extra to join.

Archer's Plushies is published for Forge and NeoForge and covers two release versions, 1.20.1 and 1.21.8, under All rights reserved, so the code is not open source. The mod is compatible with Compatible Jockeys, which the author names as a companion mod.

Key features

  1. Base plushies

Plushies of skeletons, zombies, piglins, spiders, chickens and striders can be placed as decorations.

  2. Jockey stacking

A base plushie combined with a rider plushie creates a stacked pair in which the rider sits on the base.

  3. Rider removal

Shears remove the rider from a jockey plushie, returning the rider plushie as an item.

  4. Variant cycling

Shift and right-click on a placed plushie switches between its variants.

  5. Axolotl plushie

An axolotl plushie with several variants is included, and the author notes it is the first of more planned additions.
