Apothic Renaming lets players rename Apotheosis affixed items on a vanilla anvil, and the custom name replaces the generated prefix and suffix.
What it does
The mod is an addon for Apotheosis that runs on the server only. A player can set an affixed item on an anvil, enter a new name and take the output. The rename costs 1 level, the same as any other anvil rename. Affixes, socketed gems and the rarity color all stay on the item, and the custom name is displayed where the generated Apotheosis name would normally appear.
Vanilla items without affixes behave exactly as they do on a normal anvil. Sigil Unnaming still works for players who prefer that route, so the addon does not remove it. The mod needs Apotheosis 7.x as an optional dependency and does nothing without it, and it is configured through its config file. Files exist for Forge and NeoForge across 1.19.2, 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, and the code is open source under the MIT License.

Affixed Apotheosis items can be renamed on a standard anvil without using the Sigil Unnaming item.

Normal anvil behavior for other items
