Anti-Combatlog (AntiLogout)

by nuss

Anti-Combatlog stops players from escaping a fight by logging out, keeping their character in the world until combat ends.

FabricServer-side onlyGNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 onlyOpen source1.21.7 – 1.21.8

What it does

When a player logs out during combat, the character stays in the world as a dummy until the fight is over, so logging out cannot be used to dodge damage or consequences. The same server-side system also includes an AFK command that lets a player log out with the account still online, with an optional time limit set in seconds, where -1 means unlimited.

The mod is server-side only, so the server needs it and players join without installing anything. Installation needs Fabric API as a required dependency. Files are published for Fabric only, for 1.21.7 and 1.21.8, with 2.1.0 for 1.21.8 as the latest file, released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, which makes it open source with public source code and an issue tracker.

Key features

  1. Combat logout protection

A player who disconnects mid-fight remains in the world as a dummy until combat ends, closing the logout exit.

  2. AFK command

Players can use an afk command to log out while the account stays online, with an optional time limit.

  3. Permission controls

Fine-grained permissions decide which players can use each command, and setting another player AFK requires its own permission.

  4. Config reload in game

Settings can be changed and the config reloaded without restarting the server.

Use cases

Protecting PvP servers

Server owners running player combat can keep fights from ending with a logout, since the character remains until the fight is over.

Stopping AFK farming

Server owners who want to block AFK command farming can restrict or time-limit the command through its permissions and time settings.

Who it’s for: Server owners who run PvP or survival servers and want to prevent combat logging, and who need fine control over who may use the AFK command.
