Ant Farm Infinite
by Klinbee
Ant Farm Infinite limits the Overworld, Nether and End to a single chunk of terrain, so the world ends at a fixed border.
What it does
The mod restricts each dimension to one chunk wide of generated terrain, which keeps players inside a small, enclosed playfield. Minecraft normally lets players travel a practically unlimited distance across three dimensions, and the mod removes that freedom to make world generation a tighter challenge. Because structures can spawn too close together, the mod shifts how they are placed so the smaller space stays fair.
Players who want a tighter challenge can enable infinite strongholds in place of the usual 128 that generate, since the reduced space would otherwise make it unlikely to find one. The mod also adjusts the locations of structures, which are seed based, and it moves buried treasure maps and eyes of ender into the limited area so they remain reachable. Mobs such as the Ender Dragon and vexes can fly past the border, and the mod keeps them in play with its own handling.
The mod runs on the Fabric loader and is published for 1.20.4 only, with the latest Fabric build b1.0.1 dated 2024-02-26 on the beta channel. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. The code is under the MIT License and is open source, with public source code and an issue tracker.
Key features
One chunk wide dimensions
Overworld, Nether and End generate within a single chunk of terrain, with the world ending at a border.
Adjusted structure placement
Structure spawns are rebalanced so they do not crowd together inside the small playfield.
Infinite strongholds
An option makes strongholds generate indefinitely in place of the standard 128, guaranteeing a portal room.
Border handling
End obsidian platforms, nether portals and magma blocks are kept inside the border instead of spawning past it.

What the author says
Minecraft allows you to have a lot of freedom... 3 dimensions of freedom in fact. What would happen if one of those dimensions was reduced from practically infinite, to 16 whole blocks. That's what this mod does. It restricts your world into one chunk of terrain generation. Additionally there is a border placed on…
