Animageddon: Mob Overhaul

by ivangeevo

Animageddon: Mob Overhaul changes how several vanilla mobs behave and what they drop, keeping the style of the base game for Fabric on 1.21.1.

FabricClient and serverCreative Commons Attribution 4.01.21.1

What it does

Zombies hunt sheep and cows at night, and spiders hunt chickens and rabbits at night, so the animals in a world face new threats after dark. Dropped creepers no longer yield gunpowder directly, and gunpowder can be crafted from what they leave behind instead. Cured Meat is a new food item, Bat Wing is a new drop from bats, and Witch Wart is a new drop from witches.

The mod requires BTWR: Shared Library and Fabric API, both of which must be installed on Fabric next to Animageddon. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files are built for 1.21.1 only, and the latest file is 0.6, an alpha build from 2026-09-24. The code is not open source; it is released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license, which also covers the mod's source code and issue tracker. The author notes say Vegehenna can be present and changes its chocolate, and Animageddon also requires the Cake mod.
