Alpha Protocol is a Fabric mod that lets a world be rewritten into its earliest Alpha-era look, with terrain and visuals changing gradually while the game runs.

What it does

Players perform a ritual in a Time Machine to enter Alpha mode. The transition happens in-game: the existing world slowly transforms into terrain generated with Alpha algorithms, and lighting, sky fog and ambient sounds are matched to the original version. The mod requires Sodium, and it runs on client and server, so both sides need it. Files are published for Fabric only, for 26.1.1 and 26.1.2, and the latest is 1.1.7 for 26.1.2. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source.
