Alpha Equipment
by AlanHT520
Alpha Equipment adds swords, axes, pickaxes and armor sets that use vanilla materials and textures, plus a Blaze-based mob with its own attack patterns.
What it does
The mod adds extra weapons and tiered protection gear built from vanilla materials. Items follow Minecraft's equipment upgrade logic, so a player moves from one tier to the next as materials are gained. The content matches the game's art style and mechanics, and it is designed around the vanilla progression rather than replacing it.
A Blaze-based mob with custom attack patterns is included. Defeating it calls for specific tactics, such as exploiting its water vulnerability. The mod also provides useful resources that drop from its mobs, without unbalancing gameplay. It requires Fabric API, which must be installed alongside it.
Files are published for Fabric, Forge and Quilt across six release versions in the range 1.21.1 – 1.21.8, with 0.4.6 as the latest Fabric and Forge file and 0.3.0 as the latest Quilt file. The mod is open source under the MIT License, and its source code and issue tracker are public.
Key features
Extra weapon variants
Additional swords, axes and pickaxes with balanced stats expand the weapons available in survival play.
Tiered armor sets
New armor sets use vanilla materials and textures, with protection that rises by tier.
Upgrade-based progression
Items follow the game's own equipment upgrade path, so new gear fits the existing tier order.
Blaze-based mob
A new mob based on the blaze uses custom attack patterns and is weak to water.

Use cases
Mid-game combat
Players who want more gear between iron and diamond tiers can use the added weapons and armor sets.
Fighting the new mob
The custom Blaze-based mob rewards players who plan around its attack patterns and its water vulnerability.
Who it’s for: The mod suits players who want extra vanilla-style weapons and armor and a new combat challenge without changing the game's art style. It is a client-side only mod, so players install it and servers do not need it.
How it compares
Nice Mob Equipment is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, with files for 1.21.3 – 1.21.5, and it is a server-side mod that needs the server but leaves clients optional. Alpha Equipment runs on the client alone, so the two differ in which side needs the mod and in their license.
