Allay in a Bottle

by piguycs

Allay in a Bottle lets players right-click an allay with an empty bottle to capture it, then release it later from the bottle.

FabricForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.19.2 – 26.1.2

What it does

Capturing an allay takes an empty bottle and a right click on the mob, and the captured allay can be placed back into the world. The mod is a small utility aimed at players who want to keep allays in a storage-friendly form. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files are published for Fabric and Forge, with the latest Fabric build 1.3.5+26.1.2 for 26.1.2 and the latest Forge build 1.1.2 for 1.20.1. Releases cover 1.19.2 – 26.1.2 across 13 release versions, under the MIT License, so the source code is open source.

Key features

  1. Bottle capture

A right click on an allay with an empty bottle picks the mob up and stores it in the bottle.

  2. Release from the bottle

A captured allay can be let out again, so the bottle works as a portable holding item.

  3. Simple scope

The mod adds only the capture behavior and the bottled allay item, with no extra blocks or screens.
