AfterBridge
by Lous12
AfterBridge is a Fabric integration bridge that connects TaCZ firearm sounds with mob awareness, so loud weapons can draw nearby mobs.
What it does
Minecraft mobs normally ignore gunfire as a source of noise. AfterBridge detects the sound events produced by TaCZ firearms and passes them to mob awareness systems, so a loud weapon can register as a potential threat and attract infected that come looking for the shooter. Other noisy actions, such as breaking blocks, are handled the same way.
The bridge is lightweight and is meant to sit alongside other mods without replacing their mechanics. Suppressed and unsuppressed weapons produce sounds at different distances, and compatible mobs react to them accordingly. Forge Config API Port, TaCZ: Refabricated and Zombie Awareness are required, and the mod is published for Fabric 1.20.1 under the MIT License, though it is not open source. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. The bridge was built for the AFTERFALL modpack, though other modpacks can load it on their own.
Key features
Firearm sound detection
Sounds produced by TaCZ firearms are detected and forwarded as noise events for nearby mobs.
Distance by suppression
Suppressed and unsuppressed weapons carry different sound distances, so a quiet shot reaches fewer mobs.
Noisy block breaking
Block-breaking actions count as noise, so mobs can react to digging as well as gunfire.
Compatible mob reactions
Mobs from other compatible mod packs can investigate gunfire and react to the sounds this bridge produces.

Use cases
Modpacks with gunfire
A pack that uses TaCZ can make infected respond to shooting instead of ignoring it.
Stealth-focused play
Suppressed weapons draw attention over a shorter range, which suits players who prefer quiet approaches.
Who it’s for: Players and server owners running TaCZ with compatible mob mods on Fabric 1.20.1, particularly modpacks that want gunfire to have consequences in the world.
How it compares
Bren is also a Fabric 1.20.1 mod under the MIT License and is open source, but it does not target firearm sounds. Hostile Awareness is client-side only and open source is not claimed, with files for 1.21.4 – 1.21.11. Noisy No More is client-side only under All rights reserved for 1.21.4 – 1.21.5, so it cannot be used on a server.
