Motion Blur
by Afkz Studios
Motion Blur, a Fabric client mod by Afkz Studios, adds temporal blur that smooths the image during camera movement.
What it does
Players who want a cleaner, more cinematic picture can enable a temporal blur that softens fast camera motion. Its strength runs on a scale from 1 to 10. Settings are kept between launches, and the blur is reset safely when a world is joined or the strength is changed.
Controls are simple: a few in-game options and a keybinding handle the toggle and strength, so the setup stays short. Compatibility handling covers the active shader pipeline, so the mod can be used alongside shader packs such as Iris. Because it runs only on the client, a server does not need it and players can join without it.
Installation needs Fabric. Motion Blur is published for Fabric only, across six release versions. The mod is released under the MIT License and is not open source.
Key features
Temporal motion blur
Smooth blur applied across frames while the camera moves, giving fast turns a softer look.
Adjustable strength
Blur intensity can be set from 1 to 10 in the in-game options, so the effect can be dialed back or pushed further.
Saved settings
Chosen options persist between launches, so the blur does not need to be configured again each session.
Safe reset behavior
The blur state is reset when a world is joined or the strength changes, which avoids carrying over a stale effect.
Shader pipeline compatibility
Handling for the active shader pipeline lets the blur work with shader mods such as Iris.

Use cases
Cinematic recording
Players recording gameplay can use the blur to give camera pans a smoother, filmic feel without extra tools.
Shader pack setups
Players running Iris shaders can add the blur on top of their pack, since the mod handles the shader pipeline.
Who it’s for: Players who want a softer, cinematic camera feel with a short setup, and who play on Fabric with the client side only.
