ADVERSARY FELLED
Adversary Felled is an adventure mod that shows a victory banner when players defeat bosses, and it lets server owners and data pack authors set which bosses count.
What it does
When a player defeats a boss, a banner in the style of Soulsborne victory notices flashes across the screen. The banner is the mod's main visible effect, and it fires for bosses from other mods as well as the vanilla ones it recognizes by default.
Boss support is handled through the mod's boss tag. Mod developers who want their own bosses recognized can add them to the tag, either in a data pack or through the adversary_felled:boss exception. Mini-boss Boss Bars mobs are supported automatically, unless a server owner disables a specific mob in that mod's config.
The server must run the mod, while the client may leave it out. The mod is released under the MIT License and is not open source. Files target 1.20 – 1.21.1 across Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and a data pack variant is also available.
Key features
Victory banner
Defeating a boss triggers a full-screen banner that flashes across the player's view.
Boss tag
A boss tag decides which mobs count as bosses, so the banner works with mobs added by other mods.
Mini-boss Boss Bars support
Mobs from Mini-boss Boss Bars are picked up automatically, and each can be turned off in that mod's config.
Data pack exception
Developers can declare additional bosses through a data pack entry, without changing the mod's code.
