Advanced Rocketry 3

by MarvinEckhardt

Advanced Rocketry 3 adds rockets, space stations, satellites and a planet system with custom worlds to NeoForge for 1.21.1.

NeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.21 – 1.21.1

What it does

Rockets are built from modular parts, and a modular space suit lets players travel beyond the atmosphere. Space stations provide warp travel between bodies, and satellites can be assembled in a modular way. Planets are defined through custom JSON planet definitions and appear in a 3D system view. An observatory is used to discover planets, locate asteroids and extract them for resources, while an astrobody data processor analyzes collected data.

The mod includes a skybox with custom shaders, recipes and loot tables. Terraforming changes biomes, though it only works with hard-coded biomes rather than every built-in biome. The default planet definitions use biomes from the Biomes O' Plenty mod, which is required to run them. Files are published for NeoForge only, for 1.21 and 1.21.1, and the environment is client and server, so the server and every player need the mod. The mod is not open source and is released under All rights reserved, though its source code is publicly available.

Key features

  1. Modular rockets

Rockets are assembled from interchangeable modules, so each build can be shaped for a particular trip.

  2. Space stations and warp

Stations in orbit serve as hubs for warp travel between the worlds of the system.

  3. Observatory and asteroid extraction

The observatory finds planets and locates asteroids that players can extract resources from.

  4. Custom planets and system view

JSON planet definitions add new worlds, displayed in a 3D system view with a custom skybox and shaders.
