Additional Ores

by 7heFiNaTy

Additional Ores adds five new ore types, with Titan and Cobalt found in the Overworld, plus Cosmic materials that are used for crafted tools and armor.

FabricForgeClient or server, optionalMIT License1.19.2 – 1.20.4

What it does

Titan, Cobalt and Iridium ores generate in the Overworld. Iridium ore appears more often than iron ore but is slightly weaker, Cobalt ore appears more often than diamond ore but is weaker, and Titan sits between netherite and diamond in strength, which makes diamonds harder to find. Cosmic Dust can be found in the Nether, while Cosmic Fragment is found in the End dimension.

Cosmic Dust is combined with an obsidian stick to make a Cosmic Stick, opening a new set of crafting recipes. Cosmic Fragments are used to create Cosmic Armor and Cosmic Weapons. The mod is published for Fabric and Forge, for game versions 1.19.2 – 1.20.4, and it works on either side, and neither needs it, so a server can run without it.

The mod is released under the MIT License and is not open source. Its latest Fabric file is 0.3 for 1.20.4, and its latest Forge file is 0.2 for 1.19.2, released on the beta channel.

Questions

Which loader does Additional Ores need?

The mod is published for both Fabric and Forge, so either loader works for game versions 1.19.2 – 1.20.4.

Does a server need Additional Ores installed?

No. Either side can run it, and neither needs it, so a server can run without the mod and players can still join.

Is there a version gap between the loaders?

Yes. The latest Fabric file targets 1.20.4, while the latest Forge file is 0.2 for 1.19.2 on the beta channel.
