Cosmic Chaos

Cosmic Chaos is a Forge boss progression mod that adds enemies, weapon classes and passive items for survival play, with its story set around a vanished ancient cosmic civilization.
What it does
Players survive monsters in the sky, search underground dungeons and fight bosses to learn what happened to an ancient cosmic civilization. Only structure ruins and floating islands remain of that people, and the mod's lore is still being written. The author encourages playing with keep inventory enabled, because progression takes a long time.
New enemies appear during thunderstorms and drop materials, including offhand passives and weapons. Bosses drop unique items once defeated, and the mod also changes gear: iron and diamond axes, swords and armor can no longer be crafted at a crafting table, and must be made at a smithing table from copper or iron counterparts. The mod is published for Forge only, for 1.19.4 – 1.20.1, and the code is under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
The Cosmic Chaos files are marked as beta, and the author asks players to report feedback about playability. The server and every player need the mod installed.

New bosses sit at the end of unique dungeons, and the wither drops unique items that open access to them.
Weapon classes
New weapon classes include ranged weapons that sort guns and bows by type, with some armor and passives that reduce ammo use.
Offhand passive items
Items held in the offhand grant special abilities, and some passives raise damage together with certain armor pieces.
Enraged effect
The Enraged effect doubles damage, and Enraged II triples it.
Health boost item
Starting with five hearts, a certain item raises maximum health up to fifteen hearts.
In-game information item
A computer item shows details about the new monsters, including what they drop.
