With AA4 Atlas installed, players carry a physical atlas item that opens the Antique Atlas 4 map, and the item is an addon for Antique Atlas 4.
What it does
The mod adds a physical atlas item to Antique Atlas 4. The item is crafted from a book and a compass, the same recipe the mod it extends uses. Once the item sits in the player's inventory, it opens through the standard hotkey, or by right clicking while holding it. Holding the item also shows the map on screen.
Exploration data is still managed by Surveyor, so the map keeps recording progress even when the item is not in the inventory. Sharing exploration progress between players is covered on the Surveyor side, and its mod page explains the steps. The mod requires Antique Atlas 4, Fabric API and Surveyor Map Framework. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with 1.1.2 for 1.21.1 as the latest build, released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later. The code is open source, and the source and issue tracker are public.

Antique Atlas Tweaks is a Fabric-only option for 1.20.1 with a client and server environment, released under the MIT License and open source. Surveystones runs on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.19.2 – 1.21.1, is client and server and is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only. Antique Atlas 4 Sky Islands Compat is NeoForge-only for 1.21.1, client-side only and not open source.
