Zero Whitelist

by Chihyu

Zero Whitelist is a NeoForge server mod that manages a player whitelist by player name, so it works while the server is offline.

NeoForgeServer-side onlyMIT License1.21.1

What it does

The whitelist is kept by player name instead of UUID, which lets the list work on a server that runs in offline mode. Commands are available under the full name zerowhitelist and the short form zwl, covering adding and removing players, listing entries, reloading the configuration, and switching the whitelist on or off.

Installation consists of placing the mod file in the server's mods folder and starting the server. The whitelist file is created in the server's root directory on first run. Only the server needs the mod, so players join without installing anything. The mod is released under the MIT License, is not open source, and is published for NeoForge 1.21.1 with the 1.0.0 build from 2025-07-05.

Key features

  1. Name-based whitelist

  2. Whitelist commands

Commands add, remove and list players, reload the configuration, and turn the whitelist on or off.

  3. Offline server support

The whitelist keeps working on a server that is running in offline mode.
