World In a Jar

by Vulpixel

With World In a Jar, a player can place a snow globe-style jar block that holds a small pocket space filled with blocks and features, and lock it for others.

What it does

Jar blocks are placed in a world and act as storage with a lot of room inside, which the author describes as a way to solve storage issues. A jar can be locked by its owner, and once locked its contents cannot be edited. Right-clicking a locked jar teleports a permitted player into it, and the permission is set by a permission ID with a minimum operator level written in order after the ID.

Snow globes are designed in the spirit of terrarium blocks, so both builders and survival players can use them. The mod also supports redstone contraptions built around small snow globes. Permissions work with mods compatible with the Fabric Permissions API, such as LuckPerms, and the author's notes say the mod uses those permissions. Quilt Kotlin Libraries and Quilted Fabric API / Quilt Standard Libraries are required, and Fabric API is required on Fabric. The mod runs on the client and the server, so both need it.

The mod is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and its source code and issue tracker are public. Files cover 1.19.2, 1.19.4, 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, with the latest Fabric file for 1.21.1 and the latest Quilt file for 1.20.1. Breaking Bedrock and Sodium are optional dependencies.

What the author says

1.20.1 is also not supported and does not resemble the mod in its current state. That is, do not use the 1.20.1 version. You can put blocks in a jar block with a lot of room! All of your storage issues are solved!
