Windswept
Windswept is a vanilla-style expansion for snowy and forested areas, adding new biomes, flowers, enemies and winter-themed content to Forge and NeoForge worlds.
What it does
The expansion generates new terrain in colder and wooded regions, including a tundra, a pine barrens, lavender meadows and flowering savannas, each carrying its own plants and creatures. Most of the content leans toward winter, and new flowers and enemies appear alongside the terrain.
Windswept depends on Blueprint, which must be installed on the same loader. Players join a server running the mod only if they have it too, since both sides need it. Builds exist for Forge and NeoForge, under All rights reserved. The source code and issue tracker are public, but the code is not open source.
Key features
Snowy and forest biomes
Several new biome types are generated in colder and wooded regions, including a tundra and a pine barrens.
New flowers and enemies
The expansion adds flowers and hostile creatures that appear in its biomes, changing what players meet while exploring.
Wood and boat variants
New wood types bring extra boat variants and wooden block variants, so builders get matching materials for new structures.
Lights and buckets
Cupric and Ender fairy lights, honey and chocolate wooden buckets, and a frozen flesh block are among the decorative and utility items added.
