WindChime Unofficial Continued brings wind chimes, bamboo chimes and dreamcatchers to Fabric builds for 1.21 – 26.3, with six log types for the chime textures.

What it does

Chimes hang from ceilings and walls and sway gently in the wind, adding ambient motion to a build. The mod carries over the chimes from the Windchimes project in a newer version, and it adds bamboo chimes that can be placed on ceilings or walls. A new dreamcatcher block arrives with this version, and the chime and dreamcatcher textures take the wood of six log types: oak (the default), spruce, birch, dark oak, acacia and jungle.

Installation needs only Fabric, since the mod has no required dependency. Cloth Config API is optional and adds a settings screen when present. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. Files target Fabric for game versions 1.21 – 26.3 with 15 release versions, and the code is available as a public source repository. The mod is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 and is not open source.

    Chimes move in a soft swaying motion, so a row of them reads as a live part of the scene.

    Chime and dreamcatcher textures can be switched to oak, spruce, birch, dark oak, acacia or jungle, using the matching log blocks.

    Bamboo chimes can be placed on a ceiling or against a wall, which allows different hanging layouts.

    Dreamcatchers are new in this version and can be combined with the chimes to build decorative arrangements.

  5. Survival crafting

    Chimes and dreamcatchers follow the standard survival crafting recipe format, so they are obtained through normal crafting.
