Wayfinder
Wayfinder adds a summonable guide mob that players call from Villages using emeralds, and it leads them toward distant biomes.
What it does
Wayfinder is summoned by offering a few emeralds at a Wayfinder shrine found in Villages. The guide then travels ahead of the player to lead them toward biomes they are searching for, which suits exploration and adventure play.
While it travels, the guide detects nearby hostile mobs and enters a panic state, and the player must defeat those mobs before the journey continues. Wayfinder has a shield that blocks two instances of damage, and once it breaks the guide becomes vulnerable to death. Glowberries restore its health.
The mod requires Fabric API and Geckolib on every loader. Oh The Biomes We've Gone is an optional dependency. Wayfinder runs on client and server and is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across seven release versions, 1.21.1 – 26.3, under All rights reserved.
