Walled Garden
by Haven King
Walled Garden lets a server keep out players whose installed mods do not match a required set, so only approved client mod lists can join.
What it does
On a server running Walled Garden, access is checked against the mods a joining player has installed. A server owner can use it to restrict entry to clients carrying a specific set of mods, and in the other direction to keep out players who have certain mods. Its author describes the purpose as a security measure, since a hostile client is harder to get past when the list is enforced at the door.
Key features
Mod-based access control
The server checks the mods a connecting client has installed and decides whether it may join.
Blocking unwanted mods
Players whose client carries specified mods can be kept off a server that bans them.

What the author says
A walled garden is a garden enclosed by high walls for horticultural rather than security purposes. Similarly, while Walled Garden can be used to keep people with or without certain mods from joining your server, it would not be difficult for a hostile actor to bypass. See the wiki for more detailed usage instructions.
