Walking Spawns Structures
by Bebu
Walking Spawns Structures adds a minigame in which new structures appear as the player walks across the world, one after every 100 blocks traveled.
What it does
Each time a player covers 100 blocks on foot, a new structure is placed in the surrounding terrain. Structures can be a village, a large castle or an ancient ruin, so the route changes as the walk continues. The farther a player travels, the more structures are met along the way, and the journey keeps changing from one stretch to the next.
The minigame suits single-player worlds and multiplayer servers that want a simple challenge with a twist. Installing it on a server is required, because the structure placement runs there, while a player may add it to the client as well. Walking Spawns Structures is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and also as a data pack, with files for 26.1 – 26.3 under the MIT License. The project is not open source.
Key features
Structures every 100 blocks
A new structure generates each time the player walks 100 blocks, so the next find is never predictable.
Growing route
The number of structures met increases the farther the player travels, keeping the walk varied.
Mixed structure types
Encounters range from villages to massive castles and ancient structures that the player may not expect.
Simple start
The challenge begins as soon as the player starts walking, with no setup beyond moving forward.

Use cases
Exploration runs
Players set out on foot and keep moving to see how many structures they can discover before stopping.
Multiplayer challenges
A server can run the minigame so that a group walks the same world and compares the structures it finds.
Who it’s for: Players who want a light exploration challenge, and server owners who want a minigame that needs no extra items or commands to start.
How it compares
Dimension Spawn is server-side with Fabric and NeoForge files for 26.1 – 26.1.2, released under the MIT License and not open source. Speed Paths is also server-side, with Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt files for 1.21.2 – 26.3, under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. F3 Structure is client-side only, for Fabric and 26.2, released under All rights reserved, so it does not affect the server.
