VulkanBobby is a Fabric compatibility layer that lets Bobby's cached chunks stay visible while VulkanMod is active.

What it does

Bobby keeps distant chunks in memory as cached, fake chunks. VulkanBobby adjusts the two mods so that those cached chunks keep rendering when VulkanMod is running. Together the pair gives a longer view distance, similar to what Distant Horizons and other extended-view mods provide.

The mod is client-side only, so only the player's game needs it and servers run without it. It requires Bobby, Cloth Config API, Fabric API, Mod Menu and VulkanMod. In-game control of Bobby's render distance depends on Cloth Config and Mod Menu being installed. Files target 1.21.1 – 1.21.11 on Fabric, and the code is under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, so it is open source.
