Void Ore Miner, a Forge and NeoForge technology mod for 1.20.1, adds a machine that pulls ores out of the void underneath bedrock.
What it does
The miner works on the void beneath bedrock and extracts ore from it. Its output depends on the upgrades installed in it, so a basic setup yields ore at a fixed rate while a fitted machine gains extra output. The machine draws energy from the Power Generation mod, which must be installed alongside it.
Upgrades change how the miner behaves: one set increases mining speed at the cost of extra energy, another reduces energy use, and others add fortune, auto smelting or silk touch to the drops. Five upgrades are included in total. Installing the mod on a client alone is not enough, since the server also needs it to run the machine.
The mod is built for Forge and NeoForge and is published for Minecraft 1.20.1 only. Files are on the beta channel, and the latest one is dated 2025-11-25. The environment is client and server, and the code is licensed under CC-BY-NC-SA-4.0, which means the mod is not open source.
