Vintage Delight

by ribss498

Players who want pickling, cheese and new crops in a farming and cooking world can add Vintage Delight, a Forge food expansion with a Fermenting Jar at its center.

ForgeClient and serverGNU General Public License v3.0 or laterOpen source1.20.1 – 1.20.6

What it does

The centerpiece is the Fermenting Jar, a block used to pickle foods and experiment with fermentation. Its contents stay visible, so the jar can also serve as a decorative block. The mod adds oats, peanuts, ghost peppers, cucumbers and Gearo Berries, each with its own processing: oatmeal and granola, roasted nuts, chili, salads and jam. Salt is a new element used in salted meats, fermentation and building blocks, and an Evaporator block makes it through salt farming. Cheese curds and cheese mold pans add cheese production.

Vintage Delight also adds a few mechanics. A magic vine grown from a magic peanut spreads Lush Grass onto rich soil, and bone meal produces a wider variety of flowers than basic grass. The Vine Net can be placed at the top, middle or bottom of a block for treehouse floors or decorative carpet. Files are published for Forge only, covering 1.20.1 – 1.20.6, and the mod runs on client and server, so both sides need it. The code is under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later and is open source.
