Villagers' Wand

by eightyseven

Villagers' Wand is a single-item Forge and NeoForge tool that resets villager professions, including villagers locked after trading, and toggles a follow mode.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1 – 1.21.5

What it does

The mod adds one item, the Villagers' Wand, and no other blocks, items or entities. Right-clicking a villager with the wand resets its profession, and this also works after the villager's trades have been locked. Nitwits can be reset the same way as other villagers. Right-clicking the air while holding the wand toggles Follow Mode, so nearby villagers trail the player like tamed pets until it is switched off. Freezing and unfreezing villagers are part of the same tool, which helps players keep trading halls organized.

The wand has 32 uses. A profession reset costs 1 durability, and Follow Mode as well as the freeze and unfreeze actions also consume durability. It is compatible with modded villagers that are registered or tagged in the vanilla style, works in singleplayer and on multiplayer servers, and is described by its author as compatible with most villager overhaul mods and with modpacks. It needs to be installed on the client and the server, and it is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.

Nitwit villagers reset in the same way as other villagers, using one durability point.
