Villager Shop
by lullaby
Villager Shop lets server owners set up a customizable shop run by a villager, with trades, profession, biome and glowing options set from an in-game menu.
What it does
A player places the Villager Shop item to create a shop entity, and the Villager Shop menu then configures its trades, profession, biome, rotation and glowing option. Crafting the Villager Shop item returns a key for the shop, and the mod ships a data pack with functions for removing the mod and its shop entities from a world.
Only the server needs to run Villager Shop, since players can join and trade without installing it. The mod is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later and is open source, with the source code publicly available. It is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with files for 26.3 as the latest release and 12 release versions in total, 1.21.5 – 26.3.
The mod is compatible with Claims, so shops can sit inside claimed land. Creating a shop server by hand is described by the author as a lengthy, tedious and costly process, which the mod is meant to replace with a configurable villager.
