With Video Player installed, players can open a playback screen inside the game, pick a video URL, and watch it alongside other connected players.
What it does
Video Player plays video and audio streams taken from a URL, either in a window or fullscreen. Playback can be started from a graphical screen or with the playvideo and playgovideo commands, which let an operator choose target players, volume from 0 to 100, and whether controls are blocked. The mod uses WATERMeDIA: Multimedia API as a required dependency, and it has to be installed next to Video Player for playback to work.
The mod also includes TV models that can be placed in the world to show playback, along with radio-style streams that play music through a URL. Environment is client and server, so the server and every player need the mod. Files are published for Fabric and Forge, with 17 release versions 1.12.2 – 1.20.6 and the latest build 3.0.5 for 1.20.6. The project is not open source and is released under All rights reserved, though its source code and issue tracker are publicly linked.
