Venturer is a Forge food and world-generation mod that adds vanilla-styled content to the overworld, from ice temples to nettle-based dishes.
What it does
Venturer adds new content to the overworld in a vanilla-styled way, with the aim of giving players reasons to explore. Ice temples appear in frozen oceans, and stinging nettles grow in swamps and birch forests. The temples carry new loot, including items and a music disc, and the armor trim found there is part of the same set of additions.
Nettles are the mod's food link. Nettle leaves, bags and recipes are added, and the mod adds nettle soup, which can be salted like other food. Nettle items also fit into cooking pot and cutting board recipes. Potion effects from nettles are described in item tooltips, and nettle soup works with Supplementaries jars. Venturer requires Temporal API. It runs on client and server, so the server and every player need the mod, and it is published for Forge for 1.20.1, 1.20.2, 1.20.3 and 1.20.4. The code is not open source, and the mod is licensed as All rights reserved. Public links exist for the source code.
