UUID Hex
by CJDev
UUID Hex is a library for converting UUIDs to and from hexadecimal strings, used by other mods rather than played directly.
What it does
The library provides formatting of UUID values as hexadecimal strings and parsing in the reverse direction, for mods and tools that store or exchange identifiers as text. Server owners install it on the server, and it is required by 1 other catalog mod, Pathway. Players can join without it, since the client side is optional. Builds exist for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, covering 1.20.2 – 26.3, with 1.4+mod for 26.3 as the latest file, and the code is open source under the MIT License.
Key features
Hex formatting
Converts a UUID into a compact hexadecimal string for storage or transfer between systems.
Reverse parsing
Reads a hexadecimal string back into a UUID value, so identifiers round-trip cleanly.
Fast conversion
The library is described by its author as a high-performance formatter for hex UUID conversion.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
